Career Highlights

2012 Joined Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing, to compete as a rookie in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship powered by Mazda. After five races Matthew has a win, 4 second places, 5 fastest laps, 2 track records and 3 pole positions.
 2011 Signed with the Sonic Motor Racing Services to compete in the Victorian State Series, and a limited schedule in the Australian National Championship. Matthew won 8 out of 12 State races, including 7 in a row. He also had 2 wins, 2 seconds and a pole position in the National Championship. Matthew finished his year 12 exams at The Southport School.
 2010 Matthew competed in the Australian Formula Ford championship with the CAMS Rising Star Team. A pole and one race win in the Victorian State Series were the best results in what proved to be a very difficult year.
 2009 The year started with Matthew finishing his Karting career by winning the ‘Jr Rotax’ Young Guns Title. Matthew switched to Formula Ford as CAMS lowered the age for circuit racing to 14. The rest of the year involved some testing and three races at the end of the year. He had a 2nd and a 3rd in the Victorian State series. Matthew was selected to join the CAMS Rising Star program for 2010.
 2008 Matthew won both the NSW & QLD State Jr National Light Titles. He also finished 2nd in the Australian Titles and the Melbourne City Titles. Both times coming through the field from the back of the grid, after failing to finish the pre-finals. Matthew was voted driver of the meeting at the Australian Titles. Best results for the year were 3 wins, 6 seconds and 3 thirds, plus 2 pole positions.
 2007 Matthew won the QLD State ‘Rookie’ Title in a thrilling 3 way battle that went right down to the last corner. In 15 races during the year Matthew had 5 wins, 3 seconds and 4 thirds. After the QLD Titles he moved up to the Jr National Light class.
 2006 7 victories out of 14 race meetings highlighted Matthew’s 2006 ‘Rookie’ Karting program. Wins included the ‘Yamaha’ and the SE QLD ‘Rookie’ Titles. He was also scored podiums in both the Victorian and NSW State Titles.
 2001 – 2005 Matthew Started racing Karts when he was 7 years old, racing in the Australian ‘Midget’ class. During that time he won 21 races including the NSW State Title in 2004
