Have Wings, Will Fly: German wunderkind Sebastian Vettel has been confirmed as Mark Webber’s teammate at Red Bull for next season. After winning German and European karting championships, Bastian began his single-seater career in Formula BMW Germany, placing second in his rookie year, 2003, with 5 wins and 12 podium finishes from 19 races. The following year in the same series he was on the podium in all 20 races with staggering 18 victories. Replacing the recovering Robert Kubica from his horrendous crash in Canada, Vettel made his Formula 1 debut in the 2007 US Grand Prix at Indianapolis and brought his Sauber-BMW in point paying position. Racing under the wings of Red Bull Sebastian Vettel’s career is now poised for a serious take-off.
