Jack Hawksworth. So happy to be in America. The young English driver is making a big and sudden impact on the American racing landscape in his rookie season.

The 21-year-old currently leads the Star Mazda Championship and has his eyes firmly set on the big picture; success at the Brickyard in the near future.

Hawksworth started in karting at the age of 13 and scored a splashing success in the rain in what was only his sixth race. He went on to win the Junior Max European title and the prestigious Margutti trophy.

Hawksworth took pole position for all races in the 2010 Formula Renault UK Winter Series and finished third in the championship. In 2011, he was fourth in the main championship with victory at Croft.

The top notch performance has continued after crossing the pond.

Hawksworth signed with Team Pelfrey and was second in his first race in America, on the streets of St. Petersburg and promptly scored his first victory in the second race of the weekend.

The last four races of the Star Mazda series were on Canadian soil, Hawksworth winning three of them, eh.
