LOS ANGELES AUTO SHOW OPENS TODAY—

The first major North American show of the season, the 2013 Los Angeles Show opens to the public on Friday, November 22, continuing through December 1.  World and North American debuts include Porsche’s all-new Macan compact SUV crossover, the new Mini Cooper, the redesigned Subaru WRX, and Jaguar’s F-type hardtop coupe.  F1 Weekly photographer Mike Greene captured some images from the Wednesday press day inside the show, as well as the show’s kickoff event, the Motor Press Guild’s  MPG Motoring Invitational, which hosted a collection of automotive visionaries and their most noteworthy cars.  Prominent guests included kustom car and TV- and movie-car creator George Barris, who was celebrating his 88th birthday.   Also on hand were funny car legend Don “The Snake” Prudhomme, and Craig Jackson of the Barrett-Jackson auctions.
