BRAD MCCLURE TO COMPETE IN A PORSCHE FOR THE 2014 USTCC CHAMPIONSHIP—

BTM Motorwerks of Campbell, CA announces that Brad McClure will race a GT Class Porsche 996 in the 2014 United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC). As the reigning USTCC TC class series winner and 2012 & 2011 Spec E30 NASA Champion, Brad feels he and his BTM crew have the ability to take this next step up the professional motorsports ladder and successfully race against the international field of professional and sportsman drivers competing in the USTCC.

Brad will be driving a proven Pro World Challenge Porsche 911/996 race car (5th at Long Beach) now presented in USTCC GT specifications and BTM Motorwerks livery. Weighing in at only 2600 pounds, Bradʼs Porsche will have a BTM tuned performance package which includes Moton 3 way adjustable shocks, Stop Tech brakes, an X51 optioned 3.6 liter engine producing 340 BHP, custom GMG exhaust system, forged BBS Race wheels and carbon fiber hood, decklid, spoiler, roof, rear bumper and GT3 front bumper.

Following an extensive testing program Brad and BTM will kick off their 2014 USTCC season with a two hour enduro at Buttonwillow Raceway Park on April 5th. The series has six events scheduled in California & Nevada and significantly Brad will be competing at Sonoma Raceway September 13th & 14th as a support race for the FIA sanctioned World Touring Car and Maserati Trofeo Championships.

May 24-25 – Thunderhill Raceway Park, Willows, CA

June 28-29 – Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Monterey, CA

September 13-14 – Sonoma Raceway, Sonoma, CA (with WTCC & Maserati Trofeo)

November 15-16 – Thunderhill Raceway Park, Willows, CA (5 mile course)

About the United States Touring Car Championship

The USTCC is America’s most exciting touring car racing series. Cars are production-based sedans, coupes and hatchbacks with chassis and suspensions modified for maximum performance.

The USTCC has two classes, GT & TC and the series utilizes a combination of sprint race format of 30-50 minutes, as well as an enduro format of up to two hours. Every USTCC race utilizes a standing start, which is one of the most exciting thrills in all of motorsports and the on-track action is always intense and hard-fought,.

No less than eleven different makes are campaigned currently including: Acura, Honda, BMW, Mini, Dodge, Chevrolet, Ford, VW, Toyota, Audi and Subaru . . . and now Porsche will compete as well.
