Linked-in. Kamui is now connected to Cali. Japanese driver Kamui Kobayashi will wear a specially-designed helmet for the season finale in Sao Paulo this weekend. The Sauber driver is a fan of Lincoln Park music and met members of the California band in Singapore.

Band member Joe Hahn, a second generation Korean America, created the design in support of Japan recovery efforts.

Kobayashi, as quoted on GPUpdate.net said, “I was thrilled to meet the musicians personally in the paddock. I hope we will be able to raise a lot of money for Music for Relief (the band’s charity) to help rebuild my country.”

The 25-year old driver is currently 12th in the championship with 28 points and will remain teammate to Mexican Sergio Perez at Sauber next season.

Sunday in Sao Paulo. The FIA 2011 Formula 1 World Championship will come to an end at the conclusion of the Brazilian Grand Prix.

It is one last chance for Mark Webber to avoid the fate of fellow Aussie Dave Walker from the 1972 season. As teammate to Emerson Fittipaldi, Walker went winless while the Brazilian became the youngest world champion at the age of 25.

Dave Walker. The Aussie bloke was winless and pointless in 1972 while teammate Emerson Fittipaldi won five races to become the youngest world champion..

The new youngest world champion will be hoping to end the season the way he started. Sebastian Vettel has defended his crown in Schumacher-style, dominating qualifying and enjoying a smooth ride from the opening lap in most races.

Lewis Hamilton knows love hurts but winning feels real good, as he re-discovered his form and winning feeling in the last round in Abu Dhabi. He will be even more motivated to win in Brazil to have more wins than the new ‘numero uno’ and ‘smooth operator’ at McLaren, fellow Brit Jenson Button.

Fernando Alonso, riding the spirit of ‘Caballo Viejo,’ is looking for another win to add to his solitary success at Silverstone; where it all began for Scuderia 60 years ago.

His teammate and hometown favorite Felipe Massa, who once delivered pizza to the Ferrari team at Interlagos before becoming a professional racing driver, will be hoping for a 2008 reprise. The man who was world champion for 15 seconds has not been to the top of the podium since that epic season finale.

Live coverage in the United States of the Brazilian Grand Prix can be seen on SpeedTV at 11am EST on Sunday.
